Non-Restricted rifle Lee Enfield model SHT LE I***, .303 British ten shot bolt action, w/ bbl length 25" [Blued finish. Fixed front and adjustable rear sights plus front and rear Volley sights. Full wood military stock with brass butt plate. Included ten round magazine. Matching serial number found on receiver, bolt and end cap. Other markings including original crossed out serial number" 94520" on receiver, which was likely done during the *** conversion circa 1914-1915, crown over "ER", "BSA CO", "1906", 'SHT LEE I*** ( one original * and two added by armourer during conversion), plus assorted proof and inspection marks. Rare and complete example of an early SMLE with *** which denotes minor modification to sights and ammunition feeding system. Use, handling and storage marks to wood and metal.] serial # 3217, PAL required
